At about 4 am this morning, I was awoken by a peculiar odor. I didn't have to search my smell memory bank for long to recognize the odor. I opened my eyes to see my wife standing over the bed. She informed me that the dogs had just made a new friend--a skunk in the back yard.
That started our marathon process to destink (is that a word?) the dogs and the house. Into the bath tub the dogs (and Jane) went. We washed them as best we could with baby shampoo. That helped a bit, but not 100%. Jane found a recipe online which we also tried. That helped more, but not 100%. We will probably need to wash them a few more times to get most of the oils out. Yea, looking forward to that.
